The design which was Conservation Officer driven follows a traditional Kent barn
in the proportion and arrangement with an oak frame to support the bespoke wall
structure.
The new barn at Bushy Fields Farm is a replacement for a
garage building that existed within the residential curtilage of the Grade 2
listed Farmhouse.
The oak frame was wrapped in a multiple layer construction likened to a
thermal blanket before being clad with traditional large format feather edge
boarding.
Looks like a Kent barn but performs better than most
modern buildings.
